There is a Fake email going around claiming to be from Companies House which will have a zip file attached to it, within the zip file is a .exe file which if you open it and open the file inside it will install a virus on your computer.
The fake email does look genuine, it does look as if it has come from Companies House and even gives the correct Companies House contact details within the email. The subject of the email is normally a CC01, Company Complaint however it can also be other subjects, please be aware of any emails from companies house, ensure that they are genuine, if you are in doubt contact Companies House.
If you receive an email like this with a zip file attached do not open it, delete the email and then delete it from your deleted items, then finally report it to companies house via email, the email address is: enquiries@companieshouse.gov.uk
